What are Bach Flower Remedies®?
Dr. Edward Bach discovered and described 38 flower remedies as well as his one combination remedy Rescue Remedy. Dr. Bach found that by treating the personalities and feelings of his patients their unhappiness and physical distress would be alleviated as the natural healing potential in their bodies was unblocked and allowed to work once more. Dr. Bach believed in simplicity and wanted his system to be simple and easy so that everyone could use it. He believed in self-help 'I want it to be as simple as this,' he would say, 'I am hungry, I will go and pull a lettuce from the garden for my tea; I am frightened and ill, I will take a dose of Mimulus.' The remedies are chosen based on the individual’s personality and the way in which they deal with life’s challenges. The remedies don’t change life situations however they change our perceptions and attitudes towards those situations.

How does the consultation work?
The consultation and preparation of the customized Bach Flower Remedy Bottle take approximately 1 hour. Your Bach Flower Practitioner will discuss with you your reasons for needing the remedy and together you will explore the emotions around the issue. Only after discussion with you will your final remedy be chosen. The Remedy bottle, which lasts approximately 3 weeks, will be made up for you at this time and you will take your first dose before you leave. The remedies will always work provided one adheres to two things. First the correct remedies must be chosen and second, you must take the remedy regularly at least 4 drops, 4 times a day. After three weeks the remedy could be repeated or a follow-up consultation may be necessary to adjust the remedy or to create a new remedy. As the remedy works some of the component remedies could have completed their task and no longer be necessary, while as old issues are resolved new issues may become more visible which in turn require other remedies.
